Story Behind This Article
Jahangir, an Emperor of Mughal dynasty reigning in the sixteen century was extremely fond of flora and fauna. To intensify his passion for flora, marble inlay flower vases were gifted to him by his court’s painter. These vases were inlaid with pietra dura work which he kept in his garden so that it stands out regardless of the flower kept in it and act as an eye-catcher.
